Well I have to admit. I am probably totally prejudice when it comes to the color of any equipment. Having been born and raised on a farm in the Midwest I had the pleasure of working with many types of equipment. My favorite was always the John Deere line. I have found the John Deere riding Lawnmowers to be some of the best riding lawn mowers available.
Ask a mechanic
One of the ways that I determine what brands are the best is to ask a mechanic. Sometimes finding one that is not prejudice is a tough job but when you do they are worth listening to. Those mechanics can save you a ton of time and a load of money. When it comes to specific brand types like the John Deere riding lawnmowers they know when there is an issue with any of the particular John Deere riding lawnmowers because they are the ones to do most of the work on them. Most stores that sell and service John Deere riding lawnmowers will allow you to talk to a mechanic if you ask. If you are purchasing one of the used John Deere riding lawnmowers that may come available from time to time your time in talking with a mechanic will be a very good investment.
Sit On One
The real John Deere riding lawnmowers feel different. They are larger and heavier than many of the other brands available. And if you want the real thing then you will have to visit a true John Deere dealer. Now I am not talking the ones they sell at the large department stores. While those models are very nice, and are a step above and quite a bit heavier built than many of the less expensive inferior brands, if you really want to see the heavy duty models then make a trip out to a John Deere Dealer. The models they have are the true heavy duty ones that are available. They are only available at John Deere riding lawnmowers dealers.
There is a huge difference. Yes they will cost you considerably more money. But I have a neighbor who has one of those John Deere riding lawnmowers that he bought over 25 years ago. It is still running strong and the deck is not worn out. He has a large lot where his home sits next to a wooded area. Not only does he use the John Deere riding lawnmowers for mowing but he uses it for moving debris and trash and dirt from time to time while pulling a cart. Then in the winter he converts the John Deere riding lawnmowers and adds a snow blower and uses the John Deere riding lawnmowers in the winter as well.

So there are a lot of things you can use one of these John Deere riding lawnmowers for in addition to just mowing your lawn. You can get a cart as I stated above and move dirt, trash or other debris to help you simplify your yard work. Cause yourself a lot less backache those John Deere riding lawnmowers can. And like stated above you can obtain a snow blower as well.
Electric Start
With the standard feature of electric start on most all of the John Deere riding lawnmowers you can have your wife run this piece of equipment as well to help her reduce her load of work if she partakes in the outdoor side of taking care of your property.
And for your information I do not nor have I ever sold any John Deere riding lawnmowers for a job or anything like that. I just love how they perform and how they are built. I do not live on a farm any longer but I do have a few acres to mow back here where my office is located. And it’s one of those John Deere riding lawnmowers that makes my job just a little easier.

So like I said. I am probably a bit on the prejudice side when it comes to John Deere riding lawnmowers. I know they cost more but they are worth it and so are you. I believe the extra investment of buying one of the John Deere riding lawnmowers will be a very worthwhile investment in taking care of your property.
